The extensive Chevrolet truck lineup was on the way into the 1947-55 Advance Design era when this 3100 5-window rolled off the line packed with half-ton utility and contemporary looks from the Harley Earl design department in 1949. The former workaday pickup spent most of its almost 70 years in high and dry Colorado before undergoing a comprehensive frame-off rebuild.

Sheet metal was straightened with laser-like accuracy and finished into a custom two-tone burgundy metallic over black color scheme, and the pickup was equipped with period-correct upgrades for classic style backed by improved performance. The pickup is powered by a freshly rebuilt 235 CI Loadmaster 6-cylinder valve-in-head engine. Dual carburetors on a Fenton aluminum intake manifold work with a flow-matched Fenton cast-iron header and custom-fabricated dual exhaust for improved performance over the original factory-issue specification. The hot setup is backed by the optional 4-speed manual transmission with floor-mount shifter.
